How it all began…

It was a Saturday morning a couple of weeks ago when a little bird landed at my window and asked me what I had planned for the weekend? I rolled over in my bed (thinking how bizarre it was that I was about to answer a bird) and simply answered, ‘I dunno’! As quickly as I said it, I realized that Hey! This is Joburg? How can I not know?...

So I did what any sensible girl would do, I rounded up the troops for a cup of Vida in Greenside and the deliberations began... After several espressos (yes, we were that serious!) and some general input from the fellow public a new hybrid was born, The Hummingbird.

What we’ve created…

The Hummingbird is a bona fide, up-to-the-minute, keeping you in-the-know female manifesto of where to be, what to see, what to buy and what to do in this crazy town called Joburg. Think of it as your self-appointed new best friend... exciting; never dull and always to the point.
